Poetic Justice
A poet is different than you and me,
They see the world differently,
A poet appreciates the birds and the bee's.
We see flowers in a field,
They see an inspirational yield,
The pen is a poets sword, their words are their shield.
A poet sees wondrous things,
And knows what tomorrow brings.
From their poems they will never feel forlorn,
Even if it is full of scorn,
And tomorrow will be a brighter dawn.
I want to see the world they see,
A poet, is what I want to be!
